Introduction:

The Automation of our college is authorized as top-rated and application-oriented undergraduate course in Tianjin. The course aims to educate professional engineers and has provided thousands of high-quality professionals for our country. Currently, the Department of Automation of our college is qualified of degree conferment, MSc in “Control Science and Engineering” and MEng in “Control Engineering”, which forms an integrated student training system from undergraduate study to post-graduate study.

Training outcomes:

Basic theories of automatic control. Professional knowledge in automation technology and integration technology, electronics, computer, process control, measurement and automation instruments, information and network technology, etc. Practical engineering skills.

The graduates can engage in scientific research, engineering design and setup, operation and maintenance of system, and company management in the fields of automation, service automation, intelligent monitoring, etc.

Academic staffs:

Seven professors and associate professors, twelve people have doctoral degrees, and three people have overseas experience. Granted four national scientific research projects, two provincial scientific research projects, and others. Published over 120 academic papers (including more than 70 SCI/EI indexed papers), eight books, and eleven authorized patents.

Student Awards:

Over the past five years, students of Automation have been awarded with more than 50 awards in various competitions, including the National College Student Electronic Design Competition, the "Challenge Cup" National College Student Competition, the National College Student "NXP" Intelligent Car Competition, the China Robot Competition and RoboCup China Open, and the Tianjin College Student Micro-controller Application Design Competition.

Employed by research institutes, design institutes, factories, enterprises, and public institutions related to the automation industry and engaged in design, manufacturing, sales, operation and maintenance, management, and teaching work.
