Introduction:

The Robot Engineering of our college is an interdisciplinary course that integrates multiple disciplines such as mechanical engineering, control science and engineering, computer science and technology, perception and cognitive science. The Department of Robot Engineering of our college is qualified of degree conferment, MSc in “Control Science and Engineering”, which forms an integrated student training system from undergraduates to post-graduates.

Training outcomes:

A solid foundation of principles and theories in mathematics, natural sciences, and robotics engineering. Learning, practical, professional, and innovative abilities, as well as strong communication skills, teamwork spirit, and an international perspective. The graduates can engage in related work such as robot product design and manufacturing, application development, operation management, system maintenance, etc.

Academic staffs:

Six master's supervisors. Two associate professors and six staffs have doctoral degrees. Granted massive national scientific research projects and provincial scientific research projects. Published 30+ SCI/EI indexed papers.

Student Awards:

Since the establishment of department two years ago, students in this major have won over 20 awards in various technology competitions, including the National College Student Electronic Design Competition, the National College Student "NXP" Intelligent Car Competition, the National College Student Robot Competition, the Tianjin Computer Mouse Competition, and the Tianjin College Student Single Chip Application Design Competition.

Graduate Development:

Graduates can work in research institutes, enterprises and academic institutions related to the research, development, and application of artificial intelligence and robotics engineering, engaging in design, manufacturing, sales, operation, maintenance, and management jobs.
